Policies
Your satisfaction is very important to us, as we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our pieces and products. Please send us an email if you are not satisfied for some reason. With organic materials, such as soft metals and hand-made craft, there may be subtle variances in texture from one piece to another. These small differences may also be noticeable in rings with complex designs that may difficult to reproduce exactly during the polishing process. We do put extra care in each production, and that is the beauty of hand-made items, and we believe it attests to the value of every piece. Lead times will vary seasonally and are based on the number of pieces currently being manufactured, so please inquire at the time you are ready to purchase for the most accurate estimate. Typically 4-5 weeks should be expected as we do produce each order individually.
Re-Sizing
Every piece of fine jewelry is made to order to suit our customers’ desires as far as design, finish and sizing go. We do not offer exchanges or re-sizing services. Please make sure your sizing is correct upon ordering.
Warranty
If you experience damage to your purchase due to manufacturing, you may return it to us for inspection during the first 30 days after reception. A $30 deposit will be taken before the shipment of your item back to BJOU DESIGN. This fee covers the cost of shipping and evaluation. If we determine your merchandise is damaged due to a manufacturing defect, the deposit will be refunded and your item will be repaired/replaced free of charge. If we determine that the damage is not caused by manufacturing defect, then we will notify you and let you know of repair services available at cost.
If you believe that there's a manufacturing fault, please, send us an email first at info@bjoudesign.com and we will provide instructions for the shipment of the piece.
Please, do not send any piece without our written email providing detailed instructions and acknowledging the return. We will not be responsible for pieces sent without our acknolwedgement and/or non-tracked shipping methods.
All fine jewelry can be affected by normal wear, activities or trauma. This is particularly true for rings since hands are regularly used and subject to daily pressure. We do not provide warranties for damage due to normal wear, product loss, loss of stones or theft.
Not considered manufacturing defects
- The discoloration of precious metals caused by chemicals, make-up, swimming pools and hot tubs, or bathing.
- Wear over time of prongs and precious metals that may require restoration work as a part of normal wear.
- Bent, caught or worn out prong, allowing stone to fall out or be lost due to normal wear or other damage.
- The loss of a gemstone caused by damage from everyday wear or from other damage.
To be eligible for this service, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Email notification is required prior to shipping to us for inspection.
If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we can’t accept claims for manufacturing faults.
Please bear in mind that the beauty of many of our pieces comes from their delicate nature and so every piece (as with any piece of fine jewelry) should be treated with care.
Return Policy
All BJOU DESIGN products are custom fabricated to order. Returns, exchanges, and refunds are therefore not accepted. All sales are final. However, if you have any issues with the product, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you in resolving your concerns.
Shipping Policy
Orders may take between 3 - 4 weeks to produce and ship because we produce all the orders individually using goldsmith artisan techniques. All our rings are produced in the US.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
It is possible for your order to come in before the allotted window. Orders are shipped as soon as they are completed.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON CUSTOMS
Custom laws are applied by the country of destination and it's not something that we can manage or are responsible for. Be aware that we are not responsible for any custom fees when the item arrives in your country of destination. By purchasing our products, you consent that one or more packages may be shipped to you and may get custom fees when they arrive in your country.
NOTE on RUSSIA: Customs in Russia don't allow to import any type of jewelry products and for that reason, we can't sell to Russia. We are really sorry about this.
Terms of Service
BJOU DESIGN reserves the right to refuse sales or cancel orders placed by a customer in violation of the site’s terms or as otherwise determined by BJOU DESIGN management team.
Orders will not go into production without full advance payment by the customer.
Orders placed during holidays or when there is a high volume of orders can take longer than the allotted time window.
BJOU DESIGN is not responsible for any damage, discoloration, or change in material properties of the produced pieces over time.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the collection and use of information via our website. In using or purchasing any product through this site, you agree to the collection and use of information as set forth in this Policy.
We will not sell, share or trade any information you supply to us with a third party. Any information we collect is used to provide you with a better shopping experience and to facilitate us in fulfilment operations.
